Youth Programs
Building on the Past

High School students will be selected to plan, orchestrate and carry out the construction of one building each for our replica 18th and 19th century communities.  Once completed, volunteers will dress in period clothing and teach audiences their ‘way of life’ before each major pageant at the Ormond Amphitheatre.
Youth Theatrical Camps

These summer camps will provide opportunities for school-aged children to participate in developing their talent -whether it be acting, singing or other forms of artistic expression.  Parents and the community will have an opportunity to witness their growth during periodical presentations.
Young Producers Scholarship Program & Pageants

This program will invite North Carolina high school students to research, write, produce and direct their own original pageants and give them the opportunity to present them at the Ormond Amphitheatre.  They will have the opportunity to be coached by experienced directors and theatre staff.  Scripts must be written based on facts of personal family history, North Carolina history or National history.  Youth will learn life-lessons as they learn to budget, create, manage, direct and present their own theatrical productions.
